The Douglas County Master Gardeners work with youth each year in the Junior Master Gardener program. This is a way to help grade schoolers to learn about plants and gardening and get their hands dirty in the process. This year’s garden got off to a slow start but is now producing. One way the kids can appreciate and share their effort is to give back from the garden. Recently a group took produce from their plot at East Heights do Just Food, a food pantry just down the street. What a great way to pass on their experience and hard work!!!
