Literary Garden Plots

A garden of wordly delights

A garden of wordly delights

Gardeners I know love to talk about gardens; their own and the ones they have visited. Tom Averill, Writer-in-Residence and Professor of English at Washburn University recently shared his thoughts on gardens with our Master Gardeners here in Douglas County. Averill has written a series of essays and stories about gardens he has visited and known. He just introduced a new website featuring these works. A garden map links you to the different works, with sections on American, British and many more. Click on a section, then on the image that loads to read a story. Here’s one about football that I especially enjoyed; http://www.washburn.edu/cas/english/taverill/garden/footballgarden.html
